"Sapporo Clock Tower" continues to be loved as a famous spot representing Sapporo City and as a clock tower that tells the citizens of time. It was built in 1878 as a facility of Sapporo Agricultural School, the predecessor of Hokkaido University, as its official name, "Former Sapporo Agricultural School Enbuba". It was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in June 1970. It is popular for commemorative photography, and it is lit up at sunset and the clock tower at night is also recommended.
