"Sapporo City Clock Tower" has been loved as a famous spot representing Sapporo City and as a clock tower that tells the citizens of time. As its official name, "former Sapporo Agricultural School Exercise Area", it was built in 1878 as a facility of Sapporo Agricultural School, the predecessor of Hokkaido University. In June 1970, it was designated as a National Important Cultural Property. Popular for taking a commemorative photo, it is lit up at night and recommended a clock tower at night.
